Money Raised For Charity
A huge well done goes out to our colleagues for raising money over the summer for our chosen charity, Rainbows Children’s Hospice.
Rainbows is the East Midlands only hospice for Children and Young People, and provides specialist respite, palliative and end of life care to children and young people with life limiting or life-threatening conditions and support to their families and friends.
Lynette, who is part of our Existing Business Team, took part in the Big Bear Events Rugby Challenge in June. This involved doing laps of a 3.5 mile course for 6 hours. Over the 6 hours, Lynette managed to run 27.11 miles.
Amy, who is part of our Renewals Team did a sponsored skydive. Her original date in July was cancelled due to bad weather, which gave her another couple of agonising weeks building herself up to it! Her rescheduled date in August went ahead as planned and she ended up having an amazing experience.
In September, our Compliance, Existing Business, New Business and Renewals Teams were all represented, with Ross, Jack, Sam, Amy, Hannah, Josh & Sophie all taking part in the Autumn Wolf Run. The Wolf Run is an approx. 10k off-road run featuring a series of man-made and natural obstacles located throughout the course. Everyone had a great time, despite being very wet and covered from head to toe in mud!
All of our sponsorship money has now been collected and handed over to Rainbows. We are very proud to announce that we managed to raise an incredible £1,541.00.
A great effort by all, with all money going to an extremely worthwhile cause. Congratulations, from everyone at WWGroup!
